Fun Day with LOTS of Pic's!!!

Okay so today was pretty awesome! It was not a billion degrees outside! Ie everyone was thinking it was cold and I was like mmmmmm no sweating buckets while walking to work! My hair actually got to look nice and not get pulled back!

My boss did not come in right at 9am but like near noon. So got to sit and do labels and chat with Áine (pronounced Anya or something close to that). Really neat name check the link for more info about it Cool Name. My feet still hurt but its getting better slowly! I'll get used to it!

Lunch was inside today on the top floor of the building looking at all the people! It was very pretty in a metropolitan kind of way

In the left of the pictures is Grafton St. IE the shopping district.

I was so lucky that my boss let me leave early to go to the museums! I left a few hours early and went to the National Gallery of Art and the National Archaeological and History Museum. The art museum was neat to navigate and very different from The National Gallery in DC.

This is the front of the building!

There were several really neat exhibits. I did the Irish Artists room first and fell in love with this large work by Francis Danby called The opening of the Sixth Seal. Its a romantic piece, I even got a postcard with it on it!
Its really dark but the colors are really rich in person.
I also liked this early 20th century piece...
Only had the camera phone and no flash to protect the works but this is HUGE the people are a little bigger than life size. The women looking at us is so well done!

The masterpieces gallery was wonderful and they had two exhibits going on... From the Archives which told how the National Gallery came to be and had tons of documents to look at about its creation. And Russborough Revisited... The name to a large collection of pieces from a house of the same name that were donated in 1902 and then later in 1987 17 additional painting were donated when a new owner bought the house.

This mirror frame is so neat look you can see me in the mirror!!! The details are very asian inspired.

So next I went to the National Archaeological and History museum.

The building is really pretty! And near some government buildings also near the National Library. Thats on the list to go back to!

Long boat!!!

The treasures room, with lots of silver and designed influenced by the Vikings.

Its really cool that they found this long boat and moved it to the museum!

This poor guy had some head trauma!

Dead People YAY!

Found leatherworking that has still survived from viking era, I think.

Medieval armor I think this is late in the period.

Lots of pottery!

Cool textile work!

Cute Selfie with the museum as background!

Mummy! From the Egypt room... It was a very small room!

Reminded me of my trip to Egypt!

After leaving, and not getting to see everything! I had to get back to meet Jesse who works near by me to walk home so I will need to come back! I headed back to St. Stephens Green and proceed to make the best discovery ever!

MMMMMM Dr Pepper! IT was so good!

These birds are all over and will dive bomb you and squak at you like crazy! I sat and lazed around on the grass under a tree for 30 min drinking my yummy Dr. Pepper! Totally worth 2 euro!

Another selfie as I relax and let me feet have a break!

Look I work in the glass building... lazy picture times.

The other thing you see a lot in the part is these guys... I name then Martha (head down) and Mickey.... Mickey kept chasing around Martha getting all puffed up and she was having none of it. All of the time I was sitting they were like 2 feet from me moving about!

After my rest Jesse met me and we power walked home! it was cool out but I totally broke a sweat! Jessie was a slavemaster (jk) keeping up the pace to get home to do some laundry! ;) She is mega fast! But its good to keep walking to work up those calluses on my feets!

Lazy dinner of rice and grapes, while doing laundry, blogs and an application for a scholarship for Fall semester!

So productive!!

Hope everyone enjoyed my camera phone pictures! :) This weekend Galway (Cliffs of Moher) and the Aran Islands!
