Weekend 4 Saturday

So this morning was hard! Even with preparation from last night to avoid head hurty-ness. I think I got up around 10 so not bad considering. I slowly showered and got dressed. I watched the last episode of Game of Thrones season four. Then made grilled pita and cheese and had a glass of milk.  Off it was to see some stuff.

I took the Luas to O'Connell  street due to laziness and then decided to explore. There is a Y intersection and I always go right and that way has Grafton street. I wanted to avoid it so I took the left side! I ended up kinda lost and had to guess my way back based on sense of direction! Les would have been so proud of me! I ended up mostly where I needed to be. It would have worked out better if could have cut though part of Trinity College. BUT I made it to Kildare street and to the National Library. I was too late to go to the reading room but I did do the exhibits. The one they had on Yates was really well done. They had a lot of primary sources to look at and had great installations with touch screens to explain the display cases. Then they set up booths basicly that played video. Each was themed with things like his love life or his esoteric beliefs. I was really surprised at the quality of everything. It was pretty dark because of all the paper so no pictures really. The Library is next to the archaeological and mirrors it in appearance.

Here is the front of the library... other than the flowers it looks the same as the archeology one

This is the one pic I did take inside cause it was so cool looking. It was art designed around one of Yeats writings.

So after this I went in search of other stuff that was free. Found a gallery that is attached to Trinity college.

It was free and very cool.

The exhibit was painted burlap and canvas. No pictures they said but I did get this one. Mostly of the space it was so cool. You come in and then walk down stairs to get to this places. And not small stairs like a real staircase! The space was so nice and big and even had a smaller gallery of to the side. This space would be really cool to do a central installation piece in. Or the perfect place for my sound experiment exhibition.

Next it was more exploration. Found a Vintage clothing shop and it was legit vintage stuff, from the 20's and such. Even some amazing asian clothing. I almost got a red silk dress from the 20's, I may go back and get it as it was half off. Still 60 euro but it was amazing! There were a few things I could have got! The dresses were so pretty! If I was only 3 sizes smaller and a few thousand richer! :)

After that it was time to head back. I was tired and hungry. I had kinda been looking for a place to get a hair cut. I did not get one before I left the states so my hair was in bad shape. I found a out of the way place IE on the second floor next to a casino. I had seen a sign that was way cheaper than anything I had seen so far. So I decided its just hair right? Well I went ahead and got BANGS!!

A graduated bob and bangs! And it was only 20 euro a whopping 20 euro cheaper than any of the other places I saw. So while Les does not like it. I really do!I have not had bangs for like 20 years.
A pretty relaxing day. Tomorrow the plan is to again chill and then do the Irish MOMA and Phoenix Park.

Now more time for relaxing and maybe going to bed early! :)
